Project Description

"Why am I Here?" is a personal effort to survey a cross section of people, primary in the USA, about their motivation(s) for living in a locality. We all have different reasons and stories for choosing to live where we do. Participating in the "Why Here" survey will collect real information about communities and the people who live there.

Our society is a mobile one. According to a study conducted by the United States Census Bureau, the average person will move their household 11.7 times in their lifetime. Home owners move, on average, every five to seven years. During our lives, we will cross paths many times.

As the "Why am I Here" project collects more samples from surveys, you can return to this web site and view community by community what has been collected. (Click here or on the "Survey Results" menu item above)
